 MFX Login changes as of February 1, 2005...

To All MFX DialUp Customers!

Due to some changes we must make in our service this month,
we need to ask our DialUp customers
to change dialup Phone Numbers and the Login to the MFX Network.

Instead of logging in using just your username, like this:

You will need to change it to your email address
and log in like this:

Also, update your phone number, and make sure it's the right
one for your area! (See the list in the next section!)

We apologize for any difficulty this may cause.
As always, feel free to call us if you need any help
to find your dialup connection properties on your computer.

Very soon your old access number may not be available,
and it is important to us that you have no interruption in your Internet service.

Win XP

Click on Start > Connect To:
You should have an icon labeled MFX,
double-click on that and you should see your username,
Make the change (add the @mfx.net part),
check the phone number to make sure it's a local call for you!*
Then click on OK till you're back to the desktop.

*****OR*****
If there is no "Connect To" menu item:

  (Windows XP (works for 2000 & ME too!)


Click Start > Control Panel
   and double-click the Internet Options
icon.
Click the Connections tab,
  highlight your MFX dialup connection
  and click the Settings button.
Add @mfx.net to your username in the Dial-up settings section.
  (Re-enter your password, too!)
Click on the Properties button and change the phone number.
Click OK, OK and OK again to save the changes.

 
Windows 2000...
go to Top of Page Go back to top of page...

Click on Start > Settings > Network and Dialup Connections.
You should have an icon labeled MFX, double-click on that
and you should see your username,
Make the change (add the @mfx.net part),
check the phone number to make sure it's a local call for you!*
Then click on OK till you're back to the desktop.


 
WinME...
go to Top of Page Go back to top of page...

Double-click on My Computer > Control Panel > Dialup Networking...

Double-click the MFX connection icon
and you should see a window similar to this:

Then click Connect to initiate a connection to MFX...
(without the connection, it won't remember the changes!)


 
 Win 98SE, 98, 95, 2000, XP
go to Top of Page Go back to top of page...
Click Start > Settings > Control Panel
   and double-click the Internet Options
icon.
Click the Connections tab,
  highlight your MFX dialup connection
  and click the Settings button.
Add @mfx.net to your username in the Dial-up settings section.
Click on the Properties button and change the phone number.
Click OK, OK and OK again to save the changes.

 
Windows 3.1 go to Top of Page Go back to top of page...

Does anyone use Win3.1 anymore?

Apple OS-X go to Top of Page Go back to top of page...

Click on the Apple menu in the upper left corner,
then click on System Preferences

Click on the Network icon...
Click on the PPP tab,
add the @mfx.net to your username...

Then click the Save button at the bottom of the window.

 
Mac OS9, OS8 go to Top of Page Go back to top of page...

Click on the Apple menu in the upper left corner.
Click on Control Panels > Remote Access
and you should see your username in a window like the one below.


Make the change (add the @mfx.net part),
Enter the MFX local number for your area.
then close the window.
If another window pops up to ask
about Saving your changes, be sure to click on "Save".
